Premiere 4 September, 1996
Two Lies examines the paradox of memory and how experience is stored and revised by subsequent events. It is a work of dual nature, at once amusing and disturbing, and presents two sides of a story to reveal the deceiving aspects of recollection. The events remain the same but their interpretation is shifted to examine the light and dark contained in past experience. It is simple and analytical in its concept and structure, but within that structure a theatrical and mysterious drama is revealed.
Two Lies was first performed at Gasworks, Melbourne Australia.
