Created during a residency at Théâtre De La Ville.
An adaptation of Weather, a full-length dance work looking at our relationship to the elements. Microclimate is an adaptation of Weather for young audiences which is shorter in length and has new sections that don’t appear in the evening performance version.
Théâtre De La Ville – 9 – 16 January 2015 (6 performances)
“I am curious to see how this young audience respond. This version will focus on the more ‘human’ elements of the piece: the way that our breath connects to the air around us, the way we reshape and distort weather patterns, and how wind, rain and snow change our mood and affect our physicality. It is quite abstract in parts, but playful in others. I think it’s very important for children to see live performance. I still remember clearly the dance works I saw as a child, and the excitement of attending the theatre. To make a work for young audiences is a new experience for the company and one that it truly values.”
