Stephanie Lake is a multi award-winning choreographer and dancer based in Melbourne. Her performance career spans 15 years, touring and dancing extensively with Lucy Guerin Inc and Chunky Move and she was a founding dancer in Balletlab. Stephanie’s choreographic works have been presented in festivals and venues around Australia and tour internationally.

In 2014 Stephanie won both the Helpmann Award and Australian Dance Award for Most Outstanding Choreography as well as the Green Room Award in 2011. She is also recipient of the prestigious Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship and the Peggy van Praagh Choreographic Fellowship.

In 2013 she was appointed inaugural Resident Director at Lucy Guerin Inc. She has been commissioned by Chunky Move, Sydney Dance Company, Dancenorth, Tasdance, Frontier Danceland (Singapore) among others.

Stephanie collaborates across theatre, film, audio-visual art and music video and has directed several large-scale public works involving over 1000 participants.
