Harrison Hall


Harrison Hall commenced his dance training on the Gold Coast, Queensland. He relocated to Melbourne after being awarded a three-year scholarship to attend the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. Harrison then graduated from the Australian Ballet School in 2011. Throughout this time he performed in several seasons with the Australian Ballet Company including Peggy! and Don Quixote.

Since graduating, Harrison has performed and collaborated with various contemporary artists and companies including Yumi Umiumare and Japan’s Theatre Gumbo (Dasshoku Shake, winner of the 2012 best cabaret Green Room Award), Rennie McDougall (YES Dance), Tony Yap (Eulogy for the Living) and Lucy Guerin Inc.

In 2012 Harrison received the Australia Council for the Arts, Art Start Grant, supporting training abroad with Batsheva Dance Company in the Middle East. Most recently after a successful season at the Melaka Arts and Performance Festival (MAPfest, Malaysia), Harrison performed his solo work Melekh at the Sydney Short+Sweet Festival and was awarded most outstanding male performance. He is currently in development with Lucy Guerin Inc for a new work scheduled to premiere in 2015.
