First Run is a bi-monthly platform, which aims to enliven discussion around contemporary dance. Artists working across the field of contemporary dance are invited to share explorations in their current practice. The intention is that the work shown is rough, raw and full of possibilities, which encourages audiences to engage in discussion and give feedback to the artists.
Each First Run a guest conversationalist is invited to the session to help provoke a broader conversation about dance - referencing their own experiences in order to support the development of language, perspective and dialogue for the artists and the audience.
